St George Animal Rescue was established in 1980 as an animal transport specialist. In 1983, the business expanded into the seizure and impounding of non-indigenous animals in partnership with local councils.
Since 1 July 1998, StGAR has also played a key role in the recovery and reunification of companion animals, helping councils protect public safety while supporting responsible animal welfare outcomes.
Today, StGAR provides continuous animal management coverage through a practical, experienced team led by its Managing Director and Head Animal Management Officer.
